Done with the semester!

RELIEF!
Today I had my life drawing final and political science final. Both went better than I thought they would. I'm just glad it's over. I'm so excited for next semester's classes! But thank God for break. My next classes are so cool. I'm totally going back and forth right now.

I realized that I need to start doing more serious art projects outside of school, ones that I can use for my portfolio. I have to actually think about and work on my art! This is so new for me, since all my life art has only been a hobby, something I do when the mood strikes. I guess it all has to change if I want to make it my career. I mean, sometimes I'll get the urge to just draw or create for the sake of creating, but it doesn't come that often.

I'll update with something else later, I'm going to watch Wall-E with José and Brent :)

Later...
Okay, I'm back to post one of my favorite songs.

Hallelujah
by Leonard Cohen, but as performed by Jeff Buckley.

I heard there was a secret chord that David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
Well, it goes like this: the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah.

Your faith was strong, but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof, her beauty in the moonlight overthrew you
So she tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the hallelujah...
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah.

Baby I've been here before, I've seen this room and I've walked this floor, y'know
I used to live alone before I knew you
I've seen your flag on the marble arch,
And love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah

Well, there was a time when you let me know what's really going on below
But now you never show that to me, do you?
But remember when I moved in you
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah

Maybe there is a God above,
But all I've ever learned from love is how to shoot somebody who outdrew you
And it's not a cry that you hear at night,
It's not somebody who's seen the light,
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelu...

Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah...

I love the third and fourth lines of that song, when I first heard them I kept repeating it to make sure I heard correctly!

Yeahh work on the portfolio. Although I think you'd have enough between your many sketchbooks and loose sheets :O
